Happy Birthday!
It's hard to believe that my clinic in Alnwick has been open now for a year.
The time has just flown by,  just like my clinic roof during Storm Arwen!
Chinese medicine is not about numbers and ticking boxes but every now and then it's satisfying to take an overview of the many different conditions that have been helped in the last 12 months.

In no particular order ...... (life's too short for alphabetising!)
Migraine    Knee pain   Tennis elbow   Bladder issues   Stress   Anxiety   Sciatica
Back pain   Hip pain   Depression   Arthritis   Fertility & IVF support
Fibromyalgia   Period irregulaties   Post Stroke Care
Achilles tendonitis   Plantar fasciitis
Menopausal issues   IBS   Indigestion
Foot pain   Wrist pain   Carpal Tunnel Syndrome   Headaches   Colic

HELLO NORTHUMBERLAND!

It's so lovely to be here.  But it won't come as a surprise to learn that getting my clinic up and running is taking a little bit longer than I had anticipated!
It will probably be March before I will be ready to see patients in clinic so please watch this space and feel free to contact me via this website if you'd like to have a chat about what acupuncture can do for you.

GOODBYE YORKSHIRE

To all of my wonderful Bradfordian patients, it's time to say goodbye.  I would like to thank you for your commitment to acupuncture and healing, and for making my working days so special and varied.  We've shared laughter and tears and I will miss you all.
I'm heading off to pastures new in Northumberland and I am looking forward to meeting new patients there.  Let's see if it's true that "You can take the girl out of Yorkshire but you can't take Yorkshire out of the girl".  Take care everyone and stay safe.

COVID SECURE

At long last my clinic is open again from July 16th!
Everything is thoroughly risk assessed, deep cleaned & ready to roll with some new protocols to keep us all safe.  Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Hayfever?

We get all excited at the first few signs of Spring and then remember that we're allergic to it!
You don't need to rely on drugs to stop your itchy eyes, headache and runny nose, try acupuncture this year.

Battlefield Acupuncture

I am really pleased I attended a course this month in Manchester to get to grips with a technique using these tiny semi permanent ear needles to help patients to manage their pain.  We have already had some great results in clinic, reducing pain immediately for patients with headaches; back pain; frozen shoulder; migraine; tennis elbow, neck pain; tonsillitis, carpal tunnel syndrome.....
These needles stimulate the vagus nerve to trigger the release of painkilling endorphins and change the processing of pain in the brain and spinal cords. Research shows that it is capable of alleviating pain in 88% of cases, and the patients in my clinic would certainly agree.

Is this happening to you?

An increasing number of my patients report that this is happening to them and are so glad that they tried acupuncture to help reduce the number of drugs they have to take.

First Aid Training

I have just updated my First Aid certificate and would like to thank Sharon, one of our amazing Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics.  I would highly recommend their training (see www.firstaid-yas.co.uk) whether it's something you have to do for work or would like to learn for yourself how to help save someone's life, it was hands on, practical, thorough and embroidered with a few entertaining tales to keep the class engaged!  Now, of course I'm not expecting to need any first aid in my clinic but I am quite proud of the fact that if someone needed help that I am qualified to step up.

Simples!

This little diagram has been doing the rounds on Facebook & Twitter.
It's so succinct that I thought I'd share it with you ....

Damp, gloomy and creaky?

After an amazing summer it looks as though Autumn is finally upon us.....

~ Are you finding that your joints are aching, more swollen and painful than usual?

~ Or that the dark days are draining your energy & fogging your mind?

Don't suffer until Spring.  Acupucture can help put a spring in your step in so many ways.

"Awesome"

I travelled to Dublin to train with Dr Tan, an internationally renowned acupuncturist & founder of the "123 Balance Method".  It was an intensive yet invaluable experience and several of my patients have already benefited from his technique that "switches off the pain".  Responses so far ..... "Awesome", "Incredible" and "You put a needle in my foot and my NECK pain has gone, totally bizarre but thank you!"

Book an appointment, experience acupuncture and 'switch off' your pain!
